Kindergarten Teacher
Ashley Fisher
My name is Ashley Fisher and I will be Strong Tower Academy’s first kindergarten teacher. This is my first year teaching officially. I have volunteered with youth in my church, the girls in Shoreline Drug and Rehab Ministry, and worked as an investigator with Child Protective Services before teaching art and pre-k with First Baptist Academy. I am married to an amazing husband and we have one beautiful smart 8 year old daughter and two crazy cats. My family and I love eating Chinese food, checking out new parks, and playing games. We play board games and video games competing to be the winner but often our daughter beats us. I am looking forward to teaching this year’s kindergarten class. I have lots of fun and plans for an amazing year.

Nimia Long
My name is Nimia Long. I have been in education for over 30 years. 20 of those years I spent as the children’s minister and after-school director for an amazing church in Fort Worth , Texas. For the past 13 years I have been teaching in a public school setting. I have always had a desire to return to Christian-based teaching. When this opportunity presented itself, I became overjoyed and excited for what was to come!
I have a Bachelors’ Degree from Columbia College. I am also bilingual ( English-Spanish and vice-versa). God has blessed me with a loving spouse for over 40 years and a wonderful son who is 34 years old. My husband and I are originally from Fort Worth, Texas and moved to the paradise that Rockport-Fulton is approximately 5 years ago. The desire of my heart is to teach God’s children and be an example to them of how to live a life pleasing to God. Above all, I am thankful for God’s presence, grace and mercy in my life.

What a blessing it is to be a part of ministering, inspiring, and educating children! The Lord put a fire in my heart to teach years ago and I have loved every moment of it! From working at an MDO, subbing in various grades, volunteering from nursery through youth at church, homeschooling my middle son (he graduated in 2024), teaching 5 years at First Baptist Academy (Kindergarten & 2nd-5th grade), to now Leading the Children's Ministry at my current church and starting this wonderful journey with Strong Tower Academy! God is so good and I am so grateful to see all He will do in the lives of the staff and students!

Donna Woolston
Donna Woolston is excited to be part of Strong Tower Academy because it is the kind of school she would have looked for for her own children. She homeschooled them instead! Donna is a lifelong reader with a love for the classics (literature, music, art) without neglecting modern works destined to become classics. She has been involved in children's education in church settings most of her adult life. Donna attended the University of Oklahoma for three years as an English and philosophy major. When an opportunity to move to California and work with a reading specialist came up, she left OU for what she thought would be one year. She met and married Chris, a California surfer, and her plan to return to Oklahoma was changed. (That's an understatement, by the way.) Donna ended up working as a teaching assistant at Cuesta College for 13 years. In 2013, after 32 years in California, Donna moved to Rockport (a compromise between living on the coast for Chris and living closer to Oklahoma) and are thankful they did.
